Yes!    Please take him!   His D gave up 35 points to the lowly Bengals.   Good riddance.

Meanwhile, Good Luck to Ryan Tannehill.   Looking good early.

  1. Tannehill looking great early! Definitely shocking the Ravens and their crowd! Long way to go though!

  2. Tanny looking solid, but that Titan D is incredible. I’m in awe watching them manhandle jackson. Shocking

    1. Tannehill is doing nothing spectacular. In the Titans last two playoff games, Tannehill didn’t even throw for a combined two hundred yards. One thing I’ll say about him though, is we don’t see him throwing all those stupid interceptions like he used to do as a Dolphins QB. The biggest weapon the Titans are using is Derrick Henry. Using Derrick as much as they do is one of the biggest reasons we see Tannehill not making so many dumb mistakes like he did with the Dolphins. As far as the Ravens are concerned, there were too many mistakes made to overcome. The dropped passes, the interceptions, and trying to make 1st and 10 on 4th downs, especially when they did it instead of trying to kick a field goal is what doomed them.

      1. You should read the article I posted below. No one is mistaking Tanny for an elite QB but if he wins a super bowl does it matter? The fact is when he’s asked to make a play he’s making them. Just proves that under the right circumstances and coaching he can win.

        1. Please… Jay Ajayi went to the Eagles and the following season got a super bowl ring so under the right coaching, any NFL franchise can win. With the Dolphins, I don’t how many times Tannehill had more rushing attempts than Jay Ajayi and Kenyon Drake combined. The Dolphins had weapons when Tannehill was there, they were just used poorly. Bring in an idiot like Gase and a potent team is reduced to being mundane. Like I said before, Tannehill got a lot of experience at quarterback during his seven years as the Dolphins starting QB, so what you’re seeing now is that experience finally paying off.

          1. I think that the point that you are missing is that a lot of fans were saying that the team couldn’t win with Tanny but we’re seeing that it’s possible. He actually did ok when the oline was healthy but when it broke down things went to shit. Coaching only made things worse it was terrible.

            1. Dude, Tannehill was given every chance and time he could’ve imagined to get pass his 8 an 8 ceiling with the Dolphins. The Dolphins drafted players with Tannehill in mind.

I don’t miss points. I make observations and tell it like it is.

              1. What I’m saying is, Tannehill is not an elite QB, however I believe he is still above average. And definitely not as bad as you think! Notice how the Titans have been rolling him out and using his legs to score TDs? Dolphins never did that nearly enough! Notice his league high passer rating? 117 for the season. Can’t deny that! Notice his completion percentage? 70.3%. See where I’m going? Sure these 2 playoff games his numbers haven’t been incredible, however he has made the throws when needed. And make no mistake, during the regular season Tannehill carried the team plenty! Still wanna go there?…

                1. First of all, I’m going to say this. I’m a Dolfan and have been one for over forty years, so I don’t have illusions when it comes to players they get and let go.

Now, there are only two quarterbacks who played for the Miami Dolphins longer than Ryan Tannehill and there names are – Brian Griese and Dan Marino. I’m not even going to waste time listing Griese and Marino’s accomplishments as Dolphins quarterbacks. It would be a laughing mockery to put Tannehill in their league when it comes to Miami Dolphins quarterbacks. See JUS4MIDABL, what you and others are not getting is that Tannehill did nothing for the Dolphins. In seven years as the Dolphins quarterback, Tannehill showed me, nothing.

Now here’s an item for you.

                  Derrick Henry 2019 season stats:

                  Rushing Attempts
                  303
                  1st

                  YDS
                  1,540
                  1st

                  TD
                  16
                  Tied-1st

                  AVG YPR
                  5.1
                  6th

The man is a beast and without him the Titans wouldn’t have went as far as they did.

                  Now, your turn… GO –

                  1. They also had Henry while Mariota was starting and were going nowhere fast. They didn’t strive until RT took over

                    1. Please, the Titans stepped up when the defense stepped up and Derrick Henry showed you what he can do.

                  2. It’s a TEAM sport. You just put too much emphasis on one person. When he has support on both sides of the ball he flourished. Never said he was the same as Mario or Griese. He never had a decent o line and when he had a running back that took that pressure away, they MADE the playoffs! And then he got hurt. In Miami he was plagued with bad coaching (Specifically play calling), changing offenses, a bad front office, and a terrible o line. I do think it was time to move on from him for both sides and good for him!

                    1. Yeah, tell all that to Fitzpatrick and the rest of us true Dolfans.

              2. Given every chance did you not read the article? He was given philbum and gase for fucks sakes may as put the Titanic in his arms. Also what a great oline he had he was so blessed. Now he has a decent coach, decent oline and RB and he’s winning now if he was given the same tools in Miami why couldn’t he have won here? Again I’m not saying he’s the best QB but he’s not as bad as some of you have made him out to be. Take the wool away from your eyes Miami did not set him up to win.

                1. Now for you, FLYERFINFAN.

Tannehill was not given Phibin. When the Dolphins brought Philbin on board as the Dolphins new head coach, Philbin went and got Sherman who coached at Greenbay when he did. It was Sherman who talked the Dolphins into drafting Tannehill because he coached Tannehill while in Texas and Tannehill went from being a wide receiver to quarterback. Remember what everyone was saying when the Dolphins drafted Tannehill?… they were saying “Tanny who?” Tannehill was just an experiment and should’ve never been on the Dolphins and he got a lot of experience that he didn’t have when he was selected.

I don’t wear wool over my eyes. How many screen passed did you see Tannehill miss? How many stupid interceptions did you see him throw? How many passes did you see him miss to wide open receivers? How many stupid passes did you see him try to throw to covered receivers? How many unnecessary sacks did you see him take instead of just throwing the ball away? And these are just some of the snafu’s Tannehill made while being a Miami Dolphins quarterback. It was time for the Dolphins to move on from Ryan Tannehill.

I’m a Dolfan thru an thru and not a cheerleader for a player who should’ve never been with the Dolphins.

                  1. So bad coaching and management in general played no part in this? Even the injuries? Gotcha. Again we’re not saying Tanny is Marino but he’s proving that he can win in this league if being dealt a decent hand. This is blind hatred as you have a living breathing example happening right now. Most people in football are saying the exact same thing not just us….

                    1. Dude, answer the questions:

How many screen passed did you see Tannehill miss? How many stupid interceptions did you see him throw? How many passes did you see him miss to wide open receivers? How many stupid passes did you see him try to throw to covered receivers? How many unnecessary sacks did you see him take instead of just throwing the ball away?

I see Bill Cowher made the Hall of Fame. What an undeserved farce. The guy coached for 164 years and only won one Super Bowl…and that was only because the refs giftwrapped it for him vs. Mike Holmgren’s 2005 Seahawks.
Anyone remember how one-sided that game was called?

  4. Author

Lamar Jackson had a pick (wasn’t his fault) and a fumble, and tonight wasn’t his night. But he’s incredible to watch. The way he can bounce around that pocket is amazing. He’ll be around for years to come.

  5. Given what Graham had to work with I don’t think he was “terrible” per se, but at best he was probably mediocre…. so whatever…

Even though the numbers are probably going to make people compare him to Trent Dilfer…. good for Tannehill he’s a class act and I wouldn’t be upset at all to see him get a ring, just a shame it wasn’t with us…

  6. There have been many, many Tannehill bashers that have commented extremely harshly against the former fins QB on this very website. (You know who you are !)

Where the hell are they NOW ! ????

Funny, but all I’m hearing now is Crickets ……..

    1. Yup. Kept saying you can’t be a good QB when you have less than 3 sec to throw or when your coach keeps setting up 3rd and long. No Gase and Philban were always the problem.

    2. Agree completely! Always liked especially his toughness! Could stand in there getting pummeled and still stand in there looking down field and delivering the ball! I think this just proves it was terrible offensive line and worse coaching and front office for years! Hopefully we’re on the right track now, but hell yeah I’m rooting for Tannehill!

    3. You Tannehill cheerleaders trip me out. The Dolphins went and got Mike Wallace! You remember him don’t you… the receiver that was lighting it up with the Pittsburg Steelers? Remember the times Tannehill threw to him and he had to convert from a receiver to a defensive back to keep the ball from being intercepted? Yeah, I’m one of the people who bashed Tannehill when he was with the Dolphins, so as far as Tannehill is concerned, I’ll take you on if that’s what you want.

      1. So how is he succeeding in Tennessee if he’s as horrible as you believe?

        1. The entire Tennessee Titan team is succeeding.

Okay… then you tell me something FLYERFINFAN. The Dolphins spent seven years grooming Tannehill. How many more years and money would you have liked them to give him?

          1. Well, I for one was never and still not going to be a Tannehill believer. If Derrick Henry were not on the Titans, I could see this being a whole diff. team and the QB, whoever was in there, would have some problems…now saying all this, Tannebum had 7 seasons with Miami-ample time to learn IMO, got a jumbo contract-which he clearly did not deserve and did basically nothing but keep treading water. I’m glad to see Tennessee get to where they are but I can’t give a lot of credit to Tannehill when Derrick Henry was rolling over everything in his path. Sorry, but it’s my Dolphin blood that won’t let me feel any different. Of course, Gase and Philbin were terrible but if he were THAT good, he would have been more successful. Honestly, Tannehill looked puzzled most of the time….guess he didn’t understand the playbook!

            1. Wouldn’t you be puzzled if your coach is calling a 50 yard bomb every time you are 3rd and 1? Yes it’s a team game but when they had Ajayi the idiots traded him Tanny never had full support. At this point due to the rebuilding I agree they had to move on and save cap but it doesn’t mean that every problem in the past was one man’s fault you guys are delusional if you think so. It’s team game and coaching is huge…Fins simply didn’t give him a chance to succeed.

              1. I forgot to add that the misdiagnosis of his knee injury didn’t help either. But yeah blame him for that too same with the shoulder. Perhaps he would have overcome gase if healthy but internal sabotage is tough to beat… just be happy gase is with the Jets now.

                1. Dude, Tannehill got mad because the scout team was intercepting his balls at practice in London!!!

Nobody is picking on Tannehill… FINFANFOREVER is right, “Tannebum had 7 seasons with Miami-ample time to learn. ” Do you know how excruciating it was to tell people “I am a Dolphins fan” back then with Tannehill quarterbacking?

                  1. He was fully right as the scout team isn’t supposed to go balls out and injure the starters. They are practicing plays to get ready for the game. He finally stood up and said stop this shit and of course guys like you who said he’s not vocal enough lay into him. F me.

So if the situation was sooooo good in Miami with philbum and gase you are saying that any QB in the NFL during that time would have won repeated super bowls? Is that what you are trying to tell us?

                    1. Ha!.. you’re funny FLYERFINFAN. Don’t try to change the subject and put words in someone’s mouth. Tell me something FLYERFINFAN. if the situation was “sooooo” bad with the offensive line when Tannehill was with the Dolphins, how come 37 year old Fitzpatrick looks so much better with a far far far worse offensive line and basically, a by far worse Dolphins team period?!

                    2. First of all Fitz is a vet and we can all agree that he’s lucky he wasn’t killed. But at the same time 5-11 where Tanny had the Fins in the playoffs or close.

      2. Author

Who’d of thunk… a year after getting rid of the guy, and we STILL are debating Tannehill!

Tannehill or no, the Titans prove my repeated point, and they are one of the few teams smart enough to do this and prove how correct it is:
If a running back is doing well, keep handing him the ball. Period.
Adam Gase had that infuriating attitude of “What do you expect me to do, give it to Ajayi/Drake/Gore more?” YES!!
“You can’t run the ball every play. Have to mix it up.” WRONG! The Titans “mixed in” 7 whole pass completions in dismantling the Ravens. The rest was run run run run run.
They prove that you don’t need variety when you have strong RBs.
KC Doesn’t need variety either. Kelce got hot, so they kept passing it to him constantly.
If a play works, stick with it.

        1. Herein lies my point the coaching never gave the team a chance yet these guys blame Tanny for everything. Ridiculous. Sure Tanny could have done better but it’s a lot harder when you are also fighting your coaches inept decision making. Ajayi is running too hard so why don’t we trade him? F me….

          1. FLYERFINFAN, no one is blaming Tannehill for all the fuck ups when he was with the Dolphins, but you can’t dismiss his bumblings either. What ADMIN said is correct.

This site is called – DOLPHINS TRUTH – and why some people are coming on here to lick Tannehill’s boots is beyond me.

            1. For the life of me, I don’t know how my last two comments appeared as ANONYMOUS?

              – Phil

            2. No one is licking his boots we’re just stating the obvious that this wasn’t all his fault. He proved when he was healthy and the oline was healthy that he could win in this league proving it even more with the Titans but some trash him so badly it’s beyond ridiculous. That’s all that we’re saying here. I don’t think many QB’s in the league would have faired too much better under those circumstances as he was literally running for his life most of those years.

              1. “Trashing Tannehill badly?”

Dude, Fitzpatrick and the Miami Dolphins beat the Patriots with a beat up and laughing stock of the NFL team! No way did Tannehill have it near that bad when he was the 1st string quarterback with the Dolphins. Remember, the Patriots held the Dolphins to zero (0) points the first game they played them. The Dolphins running game was a joke after Ballage got hurt. No one could name at least one person on the Dolphins defense. We all looked at Gesicki and wondered “why is he still playing for the Dolphins?” I mean, how did the Dolphins win anything with Fitzpatrick and basically, nothing?

I don’t giveadamn about Tannehill or what he’s doing now. He had his chance with the Dolphins.

                1. Phil, that’s coaching. Parker and Gesicki were busts with Gase and with Flores look like pro-bowlers. Coaching is everything. Like everyone else, I dont think T-Hill is anything more than average at best. But with good coaching can win. Would have liked to see him develop with a good coach.

                  1. Man there is all kinds of hate for Tanny. By all means he is not a HOF qb. I wish he would’ve succeeded in Miami but 7 years was long enough and I wish him nothing but the best. He did what he could and never complained being in Miami even after all the coaching changes and revolving doors of players. Me as a life long Dolphins fan is just happy to see him striving with the Titans. He is doing just enough over there and hey if Trent Dilfer can win a SB, then I am sure Tanny can lol. The only player I don’t really like seeing succeed is Minkah since he forced himself out and was being a distraction to the team. Its hard to wish someone the best when they end the tenure that way. My focus is on these next coming years and hoping the future is bright. I feel if we could beat the pats at home with the team we had then the coaches are doing something right along with fitzmagic making things happen. That’s my honest opinion on what this convo is about lol.

          2. Author

I always tried to be fair to Tannehill when he was with us. I called for his benching over the years. I called him awesome over the years. I was somewhat inconsistent in my appraisals, because–let’s face it– Tannehill himself was inconsistent.
I never wanted him benched after one mistake, but rather after series of mistakes that were hurting us.
Then I’d see him tuck the ball away and sprint for 20 yards. He had no moves like Lamar Jackson and he wasn’t smooth like DeShaun Watson. But he hustled to get those first downs. His running was a true, underrated asset in his game. But Gase never took advantage of it.
I root against a lot of ex-Dolphins and hope they choke and languish with a shitty new team. But I don’t have that feeling with RT. I’d be happy if he wins a Super Bowl.
And the way Mike Vrabel has coached up 2 defensive genius games the past 2 weeks? It’s possible

            1. Admin,
You know my sentiments about Tanny but I do agree with some of your comments above-Tanny did put his body out there and run to try and get yardage and did. But bec. my Dolphin blood boils when a player had 7 years of an “internship” , albeit got nice bucks for that, and we are left still looking for a QB. I for one will not be happy if he wins a SB-can’t do it-don’t feel that about other former Dolphin players, but Dolphins gave Tanny way too much time to develop and look where we are….sometimes I think Titans dumbed down their game plans for him. Crazy as it sounds, I could hand off to Derrick Henry and he run like he does hair on fire! I agree Vrabel coached like a madman!! It’s nice to see a coach with fire and true affection for the team and vice versa. I think the Dolphins are on their way with Coach Flores getting to that level…our team looked different, looked determined, looked like they would walk the plank for him. That’s what we’ve been missing.

              1. I think that we can all agree that coaching means a lot and Miami simply didn’t have good coaching during Tannys tenure. Was he perfect of course not he was drafted as a project and more than anything needed good coaching. So all that some of us are saying is how can you blame everything on him? Logically you can’t especially since he’s winning now. Sure he has a stud RB but most successful QBs have some weapons and its not like he hasn’t made any good plays. I’m ok that Miami moved on as it was best for them as they are rebuilding but it was also good for Tanny. It’s just not fair to blame all of the worlds issues on one man philbum and gase deserve ten times more criticism for how they coached this team. We’re now seeing Flores doing it better and Vrabel in Tennessee coach to his players strengths.

            2. I approve 100% of the Admins comment about Tanny and about wishing other players sink lol but with Tanny I just don’t feel that way. Which is why I am loving seeing him strive over there. Cameron wake deserves it too!! He needs a ring before he retires!

              1. Author

Yeah, Wake is on IR, but still would like to see him go out on top.

                1. Wait really!? Darn I had no idea 🙁 that sucks for him he finally got this far and he can’t be on the field.

  7. The chiefs are killing our draft right now

    1. Author

Yes, and the announcers will still praise Andy Reid as a good coach. no matter how many times he fails….no matter how many teams he turns from bad-to-medicore, his men choke in the playoffs, without fail, annually.

  8. Author

Seems like Patrick Graham is gone, officially now, to the Giants.
Miami will now have a NEW offense to learn AND a new defense.
It never ends. All the successful NFL teams give their players the same offense and defense for years at a time. They become experts, and basic plays become second nature. The Dolphins never ever get that luxury.
I’d give Rex Ryan and Wade Phillips a call right now.
Please….NO MORE UNKNOWN UP AND COMING NOBODIES like Vance Joseph and Patrick Graham

    1. I don’t understand why anyone would want him that badly. Not saying he’s horrible but he didn’t light it up. Has to be better options unless Miami didn’t really want him??? On a good note there will be so many new players they’d be learning a new system anyway. Flores was probably the ring leader so it may not change much…

      1. Looks like the db coach is getting promoted seems like he’s being touted as the brains of the bunch.

        1. Author

Well, at least that means our men won;t have to learn a brand new defensive system

          1. I think it’s Flores calling the shots on D anyway so best to keep it in-house. He’d be fighting with guys like Rex.

    2. Admin,
You know my sentiments about Tanny but I do agree with some of your comments above-Tanny did put his body out there and run to try and get yardage and did. Joe Philbin is a better coach than Bill O’Brien.

  10. FLYFINFAN, Tannehill never had the Dolphins in the playoffs… period!

Face it, Ryan Fitzpatrick looks better with a beat up Dolphins team than Tannehill did with a fully healthy Dolphins team.

    1. Phil that’s nonsense despite gases idiocy Tanny was winning games until he was injured and they made the playoffs. Once he was out we all knew that was the end of that but you can’t take away what he did that year. You need to let go some of your blind hatred bro.

      1. Look, I don’t have blind hatred, I just don’t give Tannehill a pass like you do. Fitzpatrick is 37 years old going on 38 and also put his body on the line by running the ball which also showed how tough he is, so Tannehill didn’t do anything extraordinary in that regard. The Dolphins were on the verge of losing to the Browns and it was Matt Moore who stepped in and saved the day. Miami went to the playoffs and lost to the Steelers in cold, frigid Pittsburg. I saw Fitzpatrick at quarterback on a beat up team that was held together with strings, wire, tape, and spit and ole Fitz still managed to look better than Tanny did in his last two years with the Dolphins. That’s just the facts as I see them and I don’t put that on bad coaching or bad luck like you do.

        1. No doubt what Fitz did this year was phenomenal but at least he had coaching and experience on his side. We can’t say that during Tannys time here. Either way if you believe that coaching and injuries don’t matter then we may as well end the discussion.

          1. Dude, I never said coaching doesn’t matter. You’re the one still harping on the coaching situation when Tannehill was with Miami and that’s a totally different subject. Coaching doesn’t cause a quarterback to throw interceptions or under and overthrow receivers. If you didn’t see Tannehill constantly doing that when he played for the Dolphins. then yeah, it is a waste of my time talking to someone who just ignores those plus other asinine things he did.

              1. Hey man look, this is last time I’m going to respond to about this Tannehill BS.

If you wanna place so much blame on the coaching of Tannehill when he was with Miami, then you have to blame coaching for Rosen’s dilemma.

                1. I think we all wanted to see Rosen until we realized this year was no place for a rookie. In hindsight I applaud the coaches for this. He could have easily been ruined like Tanny was. I’m not sure what you don’t understand about all of this? Coach calling 90% pass plays with a young QB and bad oline is not productive…

  11. Everyone getting ready for the College football championship game? Should be a great game! Would love to get Trevor Lawrence somehow in next years draft!

    1. Author

Clemson didn’t look as dominant as I woulda thought. Not quite Lawrence’s fault though.

      1. Yeah, they had Lawrence out of sorts. I think LSU just had a perfect team this year, and Joe Burrow looks for real! We’ll see at the next level. I’ll bet Clemson will be back in it next year and probably win it!
