It looks like Texas A&M will be hiring former Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner to run its offensive line.   This is good news for A&M and for Coach Turner, who got a raw deal and was railroaded out of town because of that crybaby Judas, Jonathan Martin.

As Dolphins Truth has mentioned before, we encourage all Dolfans to read Coach Turner’s reply to the Wells Report here:  http://thesportsesquires.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/turner-response_r.pdf

When Patriot owner Robert Kraft received his Wells report, he fought it all the way to the courts.   He stuck up for his men.

When Dolphin owner Stephen Ross received his Wells report, he threw his players and coaches under the bus and stuck up for no one except the crybaby.

Even though the Dolphins’ players were solidly behind coach Turner in the aftermath of the alleged Martin bullying, the Dolphins’ management fired him.  The players had his back, but management didn’t care.  They fired a man for no reason.

Since no one within Dolphin management stuck up for Turner, he took matters into his own hands and hired a lawyer.   They issued the excellent Turner Response, which I’ve linked to above.

There are still many in the public and even some Dolfans who mistakenly believe that Richie Incognito and Coach Turner were the bad guys in all of this.  Those folks really need to read up on the matter.  If Richie were so bad, he wouldn’t be a Pro Bowl guard any more.   Any if Jonathan Martin were so right, he wouldn’t be long gone from the NFL.

The Dolphins tried to ruin Coach Turner’s career, and we’re just happy that he’s landed on his feet.

  1. There was no defending the racism, discrimination, and harassment Incognitabrain inflicted.

    1. Author

Of course there was defending it. Judas Martin engaged in it as well. Martin used the same exact language himself. He jokingly threatened Richie’s family just like Richie jokingly threatened Martin’s family.
This was two grown men (immature, perhaps, but adults), who were simply best friends teasing each other.

  2. Ross thought it was best to look good in the eyes in the “court of public opinion” than to conduct an investigation of integrity. He’s as spineless as a jellyfish. Kudos to Incognito for a great comeback albeit coming against our beloved Dolphins.

  3. Bringing Incognito to the team was just another Ireland blunder.

  4. At Nebraska he began displaying the behavioral problems that would follow him throughout his career. During a practice early in the 2002 season, he hit walk-on lineman Jack Limbaugh from behind, prompting Limbaugh to stomp off the field in disgust. During his second game, against Troy State, he was accused of spitting on a Troy State player. Two weeks later, he was ejected for picking a fight in a blowout loss to Penn State. Per NCAA rules, he had to sit out the first half of the Huskers’ next game, against Iowa State. In the second-to-last game of the season, against Colorado, he was flagged for a 15-yard personal foul penalty late in the game that largely contributed to the Huskers losing to the Buffaloes.
In the spring of 2003, Incognito was involved in a fight during practice and was suspended indefinitely by head coach Frank Solich. By this time, Solich and his staff were concerned enough about Incognito’s behavior to send him to the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas for anger management treatment. During the 2003 Alamo Bowl, he was accused of spitting on two Michigan State players.
In February 2004, Incognito was involved in a fight at a party and was charged with three counts of assault. In June, he was found guilty on one of the misdemeanor assault charges and paid a $500 fine. Incognito was shifted to center during the 2004 preseason camp. On September 1, however, he was suspended indefinitely for repeated violations of team rules. The final straw for new coach Bill Callahan came when Incognito was once again involved in a fight in the locker room. Within a few weeks, Incognito withdrew from all classes at Nebraska and left Lincoln.
In late September, he transferred to the University of Oregon, only to be dismissed from the team a week later. Head coach Mike Bellotti said Incognito failed to meet the conditions he’d agreed to meet before his arrival in Eugene. Bellotti didn’t elaborate, but Incognito had been required to complete an anger-management course and adhere to a strict code of conduct.
At the 2005 NFL Combine, Incognito impressed scouts . Despite his impressive physical tools, ESPN Scouts Inc. noted “his inability to control his emotions both on and off the field is such a significant concern that he’ll likely slip to the later rounds of the draft.

Incognito started 15 games at right guard for the Rams, also seeing some playing time at center. On October 17, Incognito was fined three times for a total of $35,000 after the game versus the Washington Redskins. His violations during the game included the repeated verbal abuse of a game official, performing a “major face mask” penalty, and performing a chop block penalty (which wasn’t called during the game[citation needed]).
2009. On December 13, during the first half of a 47–7 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Incognito drew two 15-yard penalties for headbutting Titans players. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo benched him for the second half, and the two got into a heated confrontation on the sidelines. It was the second time Incognito had been benched for losing his composure; he’d been pulled from the season opener against Seattle for two personal fouls. However, the Titans incident was the last straw; the Rams waived him two days after the game. In 2013, former Rams general manager Billy Devaney told ESPN that Spagnuolo had given Incognito numerous chances to clean up his act, and had put him on notice that the Rams would cut ties with him if he couldn’t control his anger.
The two personal fouls led to a $50,000 fine from the NFL and a letter from the league office warning him that “future infractions of the types you have committed may lead to increased disciplinary action up to and including suspension In four years with the Rams from 2006 to 2009, Incognito drew 38 penalties, including seven unnecessary roughness calls, more than any other player during that span.
On November 3, 2013, the Dolphins suspended Incognito for misconduct related to the misstreatment of teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team a week earlier. Incognito’s conduct was said to be detrimental to the team.

  5. Mike’s points are true but very moot. Incognito is a pro bowler and we are worse without him

    1. Author

Cuttiung a Pro Bowler because he teased his best friend is overkill in my book. However, my opinion doesn’t matter. But whose opinion should matter?? How about the players? When 100% of the team backs up Richie Incognito’s side of the story and they all want Richie to stay, then that should matter. Instead, Ross listened to Judas Martin.

      1. I don’t want dirty players on my team no matter how good they are. Doesn’t anyone have any morals anymore? I guess druggies and murderers are ok too IF THEY’RE PRO BOWLERS for some of you morons!!

@Admin Its total BS and moronic of you to say that Martin was Incognito’s “friend”. He almost committed suicide over the harassment and discrimination. Sure he tried giving back some insults when all else failed like anyone would but they were clearly enemies.

When Don Shula was asked if he would have an Incognito on one of his teams he responded and I quote ” You win with good people both on and off the field.” LOL
        I agree with Shula.

Incognito was kicked off every team he’s ever been on and belongs in the funny farm he was in last summer. Never part of a good team. A cancer.

The Wells Report, and J Martin’s own admission, mention many times that Richie and Martin were best friends. They drank together. Went to strip clubs together. Got hookers together. Even engaged in some drug activity. What they did was not cool…but my point is that they did it together, like best friends did.
Not to mention the hundreds of texts they sent back and forth…like best friends do.
To call me a moron for pointing out FACTS is just a silly thing for you to say.
They were best friends. period. Proven fact.

          1. Incognito held team meetings at the strip club so of course they all went to clubs and drank. Incognito sent lewd texts to Martin and Martin responded. Sorry, but you’ve lost all credibility on here. You are a moron!

            1. Author

What about the lewd texts that martin sent? Sorry, Mike, but you do not get to make up facts out of thin air unless you can back it up. Not on this site anyway. Do you HONESTLY think that it was a legit teram meeting held at a strip club? Of course not!! It was a social event among friends, and all the friends showed up.

        2. “Doesn’t anyone have any morals anymore?” HA HA HA!

You crack me up man. FYI, this is football, not a religious experience! I don’t care about moral messages. Wins are what matter. Mr. Shula is a hypocrite because he never complained about coaching the dirty Gino Marchetti, Bobby Boyd, Mike Curtis, Brian Cox, etc.,all cheap shot artists.

You play the game to win! The master Vince Lombardi said that in this business, there is no no. 2. Only number 1 counts.

Remember what George Washington said “the end justifies the means.”

      2. It’s also WRONG that 100% of the team backed up Incognito as other players and a coach were subjected to the discrimination, racism, and harassment dished out by Incognito . Some of Incognitos friends backed him up but most players did not have any response and stayed out of it.

Admin, with all due respect, you are giving out a lot of bad information here.

        1. Author

          Mike,
Can you cite me one player who stayed out of it when asked?
Everyone–100%–of the players asked about it sided with Richie. I studied every interview and press clipping for months.

            1. Author

There are 53 on the team. I count 36 who publicly praised Richie and took his side. That means there are only 17 possible others who could have possibly taken Martin’s side. You say there are 40, when only 17 is possible. LOL. Enlighten us.
We’re all dying to see the alleged 40 players who publicly came out and said that Richie should be cut. Enlighten us.

  6. So, I guess you think Jonathan Martin had his “best friend” Incognitabrain over to his parents house for dinner?? And you think Martin defended Incognitabrain in the Wells investigation??? Geez you are soooo stupid!!! Its no wonder you got kicked off the Dolphin site!!!!LOL

    1. Author

Still waiting for you to enlighten us on the 40 players who came out and publicly wanted Richie kicked off the team.
Tell ya what….we’ll settle for one. Find me one quote from any of Richie’s teammates who said anything along the lines of “Richie was the bad guy here and J Martin was an innocent victim.”

  7. If you read the text message exchange from the Wells Report, one could easily conclude Incognito and Martin were friends. And I find it hard to believe that he is a “victim” of anything except being the butt of a few jokes. If Martin didn’t like the shenanigans he should have manned up to it.

  8. @Admin

So moron……tell us again why there was a multi million dollar investigation into “best friends”?? LMFAO!!!

  9. Author

Why did the NFL investigate? Because Philbin and Ross bent over for the league and said, “Bullying is a major major worldwide crisis and we insist you stop it and we will cooperate fully.”
Dolphins management over-reacted first, and looked into it second.
    Next question?
Still waiting for you to name ONE player who publicly wanted Richie off the team. You said there were 40. We’re awaiting one.

    1. WRONG AGAIN Bubba. They investigated because Incognito was exhibiting racism, harassing, discriminating, and intimidating Martin AND others on the team as well as a coach.
      YOU ARE SUCH A MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. Author

They didn’t know about that until after the report. You make no sense.
Plus, and even more important, all those things Richie was allegedly exhibiting was also exhibited by Martin himself.
I can do this all day. Any time you wish to be proven wrong, then just keep the comments coming.
Also, please show us the 40 Dolphins who wanted to kick Richie off the team.

        1. Deadspin writer Barry Petchesky pulled together some of the most damning excerpts from the NFL investigation into Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito, and the abuse documented in the report is absolutely appalling. According to the investigation, Incognito — aided and enabled by other players and coaches — was behind a “pattern” of racist and homophobic harassment of Jonathan Martin and others on the team.

In addition to exposing Incognito’s bigotry, the report reveals in greater detail the extent to which Martin was affected by the harassment. In a particularly devastating passage, the report transcribes text messages Martin sent to his mother asking her for advice. “I care about my legacy as a professional athlete,” he wrote. “But I’m miserable currently.

          1. Mike, look up all the texts where Martin himself used the n-word, and where Martin threatened Richie’s family. It was all in jest.
I agree with you fully about the immature shit that Incoggy did. But it’s a fact of life that Martin did the same exact stuff.

          2. Mike, you are a stinking jest troll!

      2. @Mike, I hate Ritchie Incognito as much as you seem to, but the Admin is mopping you up. As much as I hate him, the Dolphin players loved him and went to bat for him. You’re dead wrong if you claim the players sided with Martin.

        1. Nah, Admin’s clearly made an utter fool of himself claiming they were “best friends”!! LOL

  10. Admin lmao reading that exchange was like watching what drake did to meek these past couple months, u just embarrassed mike lol here mike hold this L that admin just gave u

    1. Lol, Zach. Meek got punked bad!!

      1. @Floridan

So …… I want punked after all!!!

Admin is just a MORON!!! Like I said!!!!LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. I guess Admin must think that the U.S. and ISIS are best friends too!! LMAO!!!

    1. @ Mike J

So …… I want punked after all!!!

Admin is just a MORON!!! Like I said!!!!LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. Author

No, of course you weren’t punked. You were just repeatedly proven wrong.

  12. ” Miami Dolphins owner sees new coach as “next Bill Belichick”

THIS IS THE SAME FOOTBALL MORON THAT SAID CHAD HENNE WAS THE 2ND COMING OF DAN MARINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT AN IDIOT!!!

  13. Along with the HC incident with Harbaugh the most embarrassing period of Ross’ ownership came in 2013, when Richie Incognito was booted off the team for bullying Jonathan Martin, triggering a prolonged investigation by the NFL
. “This bullying incident was really a product of racism,” Ross said. The fiasco led Ross to become active in the Jackie Robinson Foundation and to launch The Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality, or RISE.

  14. Ross is a funny guy. In one breath, he’s praising Gase as the next Belichick, and in another breath he’s saying he’s looking for a new coach if we don’t make the playoffs in three years. You would think Ross would have learned something after the whole Sparano/Harbaugh fiasco. Doesn’t he realize that this stuff spreads like wildfire in the NFL? This is why no respectable coach wants to work for him.

    1. Author

Sean brings up a good point about Ross and his mixed signals. Nothing wrong with backing a coach and praising him. Nothing wrong either (in my opinion) with ultimatums. But the wishy-washy back and forth is what dooms Stephen Ross every time. He demanded Joe Philbin make the playoffs. But when Joe failed 3 straight years, Ross actually REWARDED him with a raise and extension. Ross said he needs us taxpayers to fund his stadium. The state said no, so Ross somehow found the money anyway. You can’t be a nice-guy owner AND a George Steinbrenner at the same time. Be relentless or be hands-off. But you can’t be both.

  15. OK, I admit I did get punked. Admin was clearly kidding about the players sticking up for Incognitabrain and about them being friends.

    1. Author

The friendship between Incognito and Martin was well documented and a proven fact over their 2 years of working together. That’s why everyone was shocked. Not a single Dolphin said “I am not surprised. Richie hated Martin” Instead, we heard shock and dismay and incredulous disbelief when Martin turned on his friend.
Both guys are asses. They went out as friends to get drugs and hookers and other unscrupulous behavior. I’m not saying Richie is a saint.

  16. Author

Directly from the Ted Wells report, page 88:
“…they both agreed that they developed an increasingly close friendship during the 2012 season.”
There ya go. Even Martin admitted they were close friends.

    1. @Floridan AND
      @ Mike J

So guys…… I want punked after all!!!

Admin is just a MORON!!! Like I said!!!!LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. That’s so funny. EVERYONE thought Admin was joking when he said they were best friends! But he wasn’t!!!! He was dead SERIOUS!! LMFAO!!

    1. Are you purposely trying to annoy everyone, or are you just illiterate Mike? I disagree with the Admin 90% of the time, but in this case, he is 100% correct. The reason he is correct is that he is stating fact. No opinion involved. He even just pinpointed for you the exact page in the Wells report where Martin admitted that Incognito was his “close” friend. It’s fun to mock the Admin when he praises his hero Tannehill, but let’s not get on his back when he is informing you of facts.

      1. Cmon Floridan. YOU just SAID I got punked. You didn’t think Admin was serious. Cant have it both ways bro. Admin is exposed as a fool!

  18. I though Admin was kidding too. He’s lost all credibility now .

  19. Mike come on dude you and your multiple accounts need to sign up for some courses at you local community college.

  20. Hey Admin, how bout you call up Joe Rose, Big O, Jeff Deforest, or Jimmy Cefalo on the radio and ask them if Incognito and Martin were “best friends”? LOL Just let me know before you call so I can have a great laugh!!!!!!

    1. Why would anyone call Joe Rose or Jimmy Cefalo to ask if Martin liked Richie as a friend? Martin already admitted it. Martin called him a close friend. No need to call Anyone Mr Admin
