More and more indications show that Brian Daboll will be going to the Giants, and the persistent rumor is that the Dolphins will hire Vance Joseph.
I certainly hope that is not the case, because I can see nothing that Joseph brings to the table. He’s a failed head coach and a mediocre coordinator. I cannot fathom what Ross sees in him. Or Grier. Aa bad as Gase and Philbin were, they were the hot names at the time. Each was an OC coming from a Super Bowl winning team. But Joseph?

If I had any doubts about Ross, if he hires Vance Joseph I know he doesn’t care about the dolphins as a fan. Everything he speaks from that point everyone will know he is just bsing(I’m sure most people do but any fans who were on the fence won’t be anymore). Your right you could say gase and philbin at the time made more sense because they were a hot name and you could see a learning experience for Ross but Joseph after all the experiences with the coaches he hired really shows his true colors in terms of how he cares about the dolphins as a fan and as just a business or tax write off. I’m sure Harbaugh would come too if Ross didn’t want to take him from Michigan. I really believe that. Lol,I don’t ever want to hear him say he cares about the fans being tired of mediocrity if Joseph gets hired
The fact that he won’t hire Harbaugh because he doesn’t want to ale him away from Michigan is crazy. I’m not sure Harbaugh even leaves Michigan but for that to be the reason Ross doesn’t even take a look at him should disqualify him from being an NFL owner!! Also the carousel is all rumors. Earlier this week Daboll looked like he was going to NYG, today it’s Flores. 2 hires today and I didn’t see anyone mention those names. Realistically these decision are made by the top 2-3 people at teams and no way these sources are real. That said source said next week Daboll, Moore, McDaniel are coming in for 2nd round so no Joseph. For some reason Ross only like hiring first time coaches (since that’s worked so well in the past).
Luckily, the two head coaches hired today are nobodies that no other team even had on the radar. Thank you , Bears! Thank you, Broncos!
Glad to see Daboll emerging as a favorite. Maybe not THE favorite, but at least the Giants did not steal him. Unlike Gase and Philbin, each of whom inherited a HOF quarterback to call plays for, Daboll took raw Josh Allen and turned him in to a good player. I also think his play calling is exceptional. Buffalo’s play designs always seem to allow an option for the QB to run. Tua is as not agile as Allen, but if he can pick up a first down a few times per game on foot, that helps!
Plus, taking a valuable coach from a division rival is always always a good thing.
So as of now, with Dan Quinn staying put and Doug Pederson seemingly uninterested, Ross needs to triple the Giants’ offer and Daboll here.
Come on Ross, dont drop Da boll!
Had to, sorry.
