A busy off-season, but not necessarily a good one.
To begin, we are now without most of our best players. Tyreek Hill. Bradley Chubb. Jaylen Waddle. Minkah Fitzpatrick. Jason Sanders. And although Tua might not be among our “best” players, depending on who you ask, he was certainly a starter and a centerpiece of our offense.
In return, we got four draft picks. Six starters gone, a mere four draft picks in return. The best pick we received is only #30. This garbage demonstrates terrible mismanagement by our illustrious new general manager. It ALMOST makes me miss Chris Grier.
I don’t care what anyone says. I don’t care about cap hits. You simply cannot let our best edge player go to a division rival and get literally nothing in return. The Dolphins got worse. The Bills got better. And we got nothing whatsoever in return except a nice Facebook goodbye from Bradley Chubb.
Why find a trade partner when you can just give away a starter to your division rival for free instead? Welcome to Jon-Eric Sullivan. We NOW see why the Packers kept him as an assistant all those years and never elevated him to the GM role. He makes bad decisions. And Stephen Ross allows it, of course.
A few short years ago, Tyreek Hill was voted the best player in the NFL. Yes, he had injuries and his production was down, but he was still the most energetic dynamic Dolphin on the roster. Sullivan gave him a way for free also. Do you mean to tell me that there were ZERO teams who would have given us a draft pick for Hill? Maybe more? We’ll never know, because Sullivan acted way to soon and too fast by cutting Hill. And did I mention we got nothing in return?
With Minkah Fitzpatrick, at least we FINALLY got a draft pick in return…but it’s a slap in the face. Our best defensive back and a multiple All-Pro was gifted to the Jets for an embarrassing 7th-round pick. Seventh rounder for an All Pro. Sullivan deserves to be fired for that one.
Tua was a tricky one because of his salary, but I still think we could have gotten a draft pick or two and traded him, as long as we agreed to pay his salary. Which we have to do either way.
Compounding this garbage is the fact that we overpaid for journeyman Malik Willis. He wasn’t good enough to start for the Titans. He wasn’t good enough to start for the Packers. But apparently Sullivan thinks this guy is a star? His 3rd team in 4 years. Oh brother.
Speaking of overrated guys who Sullivan has brought to the Dolphins, we have his friend, Jeff Hafley. A failed college head coach, and a guy who no other NFL team wanted as head coach, was hired as a courtesy by his pal Sullivan. Again…this garbage was all under the watchful eye of Stephen Ross, the King of Hiring Other Teams’ Failed Coordinators and Making them Head Coach of the Dolphins.
It’s gonna be a long season. An even longer 3 or 4 years before Ross inevitably fires his Green Bay Duo.

I think you are correct on your assessment of the off season. I hope you are wrong because of course, we are Dolphins fans and we want the best for the team.
I hope the draft brings good players to land the foundation for the team. It is probably going to be a very bad season, but I will settle for competitive games, and eventually the rookies are showing promise and progress by the end of the year.
Are you going to have open the chat on draft day?
Thank you.
