The Herald had an interesting report this week about some locker room shenanigans, and I believe it because they were really there in the Dolphins’ locker room.

Apparently, the offensive linemen (the much-maligned squad who just gave yup 9 sacks) have a fun little thing were they rope off their area of the locker room, banning reporters.  That’s gone on all year.  They think it’s cute.  This week, after the Viking game, they took it to a new level and made a playful, mini disco around Ted Larsen’s locker.  I won’t re-hash the details, but I fully agree with Armando’s take:   this is the worst until on the squad and we just lost a game that drove us out of the playoffs.  There is NOTHING to celebrate and nothing to be playful about.  Nothing.

Yet Adam Gase allows this.

He allows men to celebrate a loss like a bunch of drunken frat boss.  A loss!   Meanwhile, when players want to win–when they speak up and question the losing culture–Gase gets rid of them.   A horrible player who is quiet?  You get a raise!   An All-Pro who wants to help more?  Goodbye!   That is Adam Gase 101, and that is (yet another reason) why he is an utter failure.

I hate writing this kind of stuff.   I like to stick it to Gase consistently for his play calling and his play calling only.  When we start to cover a myriad of his faults, the play-calling becomes just one of many faults, and it gets diluted.  I’d much rather be the only Dolphin writer out there who consistently proves to you guys how Gase blows games by ignoring his hot players and asking overmatched and undermanned disco boys to do their jobs.  Gase’s play-calling takes away our momentum faster than any opponent can, and yet he blames all but himself.

As much as that Herald report resonated with me, I have to laugh at a separate report.   Apparently they have some hipster podcast, and this week’s episode talks about (again, LOL!!) all the changes that are coming this off season.   They still hold onto this garbage notion that Stephen Ross cares enough to make a change, and the Herald continues to tease its readers with idle speculation about major shakeups coming.   But as much as they tease us without any proof, Ross is the ultimate ___blocker.   He will stop all teases very soon by signing Gase to an extension.    I hope that putting my prediction in writing dooms it to be untrue.   I hope the Herald is right.   I hope I am wrong and that Ross gets rid of Frat Master Gase.

But do we have ANY indication that it will happen?  None at all.   The Herald should stop writing this nonsense until they have some proof of truth.

  1. So they are celebrating 9 sacks? I wonder what level the celebration would rise to if they actually did what they are paid to do and NOT allow a sack! Gase is an eefing joke as a HC but like you and I have said many times,Ross could not care less. I wonder if Gase has a performance clause that we’re not aware of concerning wins-8 or more pays him more.

  2. Does Gase not realize that if he tries to bring in a new QB and has a reputation of thinking its funny that his O-line gives up 9 sacks, no QB will want to play here. The Dolphins will become the team that Guys refuse to play for. So even if a great QB prospect is out there and Miami can get them, they will hold out and refuse to play. Keep up the good work Gase!!!

    1. I think were already at that point!

  3. This wasn’t even the worst report of the day either, read what Gase said about Miami’s road record. He is getting killed for it and rightfully so, it seems like he has exposed himself as in over his head.

    1. The co-author of that article is Ross’s brain. It’s effing laughable.

        1. “Gase has bristled at injury questions for three years because he’s adamant about preventing excuses from trickling down to the players….”

That is my favorite line of the entire story. This reporter is dumber than Ross! All Gase does is BLAME his players it dosnt have to “trickle” down its already in their face with every press conference.

          1. Totally agree. Also, maybe a 10 sack Sunday for the OL and that means a bigger celebration.

            1. Admin you should email this guy and challenge him to get answers to our questions. I’m too mad to do it here it is…maybe he will write something.

  4. Sounds like Harbaugh is getting tired of coaching Michigan he may want back to the NFL. Who knows maybe Ross snatches him which would force him to dump Gase. Not saying Harbaugh is the greatest but he’s be a huge improvement. At least he understands running the ball in short yardage… and made it to a super bowl.

    1. I forgot to add that Ross probably has a Harbaugh hard on since he’s coaching his first love Michigan so this may be enough incentive for him to fire Gase if he’s available. We can only wish but it’s possible…

  5. I just read Armondos story over at the Herald, (I should say I read half and had to stop) about how Gase can’t run the ball because Tannehill is so bad!

I’m not making this up! Gase can run on 3rd down because the passing game is so bad! I feel like I’m back in the twilight zone!

    1. Gase said he can’t run on 3rd down….. sorry auto correct is so bad

    2. Yeah I saw that article too. Cannot decide if Armando is back Gase or being sarcastic. The funny part is when Gase says “if we let Frank Gore run the ball on first down and second down, we are in good shape”. Can’t wait for Admin to say “we NEVER run it on first and second”

      1. This is bizarre please get rid of this clown. It’s not that he doesn’t run the ball it’s when he stops after its been successful and goes pass happy. Also on short yardage why doesn’t anyone ask why he’s outlawed the QB sneak when you only need your QB to fall forward for a fucking inch!!! Dinosaur Brady meanwhile does it every week meanwhile he has an ex WR to easily do this but won’t .. fuck.fuck fuck pardon my French but it’s disturbing.

      2. No he did run it with Gore on first and second down and then 3rd down against the Vikings and we picked up the first down and the defense was compleatly caught off guard (Because we never run it twice in a row much less three times in a row) but than we didn’t see that again!

        1. Exactly because the brainiacs too smart to keep doing what works. Instead he calls a bomb on 4th and inches every time… idiot.

          1. Lol…. yep just like all the good coaches! NOT!

You would think one of the thirty no experience friends of Gases who he hired as coaches would point out that Belichick has never done that. EVER!

But no we still get silly story’s about how great a coach Gase is if not for the injured starters and how we should be THANKFUL he is our coach!

            Someone end the misery!

    3. Author

It’s silly to blame the Miami media for Gase’s shortcomings, but the media does not help matters. Look at all the bullshit Gase said in that interview, and the reporters NEVER called him on anything. Never asked a follow up question. Never told him how convoluted his replies are. “We didn’t run the ball enough because we couldn’t pass”. There is nothing that makes sense there. Nothing. You won’t find a more assinine comment from any coach ever! And yet the reporters smile and say “Thanks for your time Coach”

  6. Another article from Armando today, talking about how Ross is weighing all kinds of decisions. However, Armando offers no proof. He’s just guessing what Ross is thinking about (if at all). No proof of any changes coming
