My nightmare scenario is that Mac Jones feeds us a steady diet of crossing passes to Mike Gesicki, followed by occasional long balls to Devante Parker.

Meanwhile, like last week, we can’t stop the run again, and Ezekiel Eliot eats us alive.

I can see our defense having another bad game. The one good thing though is that Mac Jones isn’t 1/10th as good as Justin Herbert. It’s baffling to me why some media rate Jones so high. He’s a deer in headlights when you pressure him, and an interception machine like Josh Allen when you pressure him,

It will be interesting to see what Vic Fangio draws up to stop their offense.

On offense, I think we’re good. Belichik’s defense will be better than the Chargers. But Mike McDaniel knows that. He will adjust. I would suspect the Patriots are game-planning to stop Tyreek Hill this week, not necessarily by double or triple teaming him, but by harrassing Tua more. Our O-line did a fantastic job last week in allowing zero sacks, but I think Belichick is too smart to just give Tua time like the Chargers did.

So all in all, I think our D is due for a better game. Especially against an offense without the firepower we faced last week. We might even get a turnover for once!

  1. My take is that if we don’t win this game by at least 10 points it will be a big disappointment. I can’t believe the line is only 3 points. I’m a betting man so I placed a $100 bet that we get more.

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. I am not sold on Mac Jones, I’m just not. He doesn’t scare me at all. But their running game does scare me. I think it will be a good test. Are we more like the 1985 Dolphins and can score 30+ on anyone, like last week? Or was last week an exception and we’re not there yet. I think we were closer to 50 last week, if Tua doesn’t muff the snap and throw a pick, both in the red zone, we had 50 within reach. NE Pats couldn’t come near that

      1. I totally agree. Mac Jones is just middle of the pack, if that. I’m predicting Dolphins 31-17.

        1. Hope you guys are right these games are usually close. Good thing is that the weather is supposed to be nice which helps the Fins more.

Hopefully Phillips is good to play can’t believe he hurt his back in practice. Would suck if he misses this as he can torment macorkie.

Either way if the Fins O is on it will be hard to stop. Hopefully see you guys in the chat.

Well we only won by 7, not 10. But it could have been 20 if not for a few botched plays.

  2. Phillips is out truly sucks! Need Wilkins and Ogbah to step up tonight.

  3. I’m so pumped for this game. I just subscribed to Peacock so I can watch it. I bet the first half will be really close. FinsUp!
