Let’s use this post to discuss who we’re rooting for in the playoff.s

“Anyone but New England” is an acceptable answer!

Did you guys see the end of the Dallas-Seattle game?   Seattle gets an interception and set to drive for the win.   All of a sudden, there are two penalties in a row on Seattle, ending the threat and they punt.  Dallas gets the ball back, and Seattle forces a three and out.  But wait!    A garbage interference penalty on Seattle gives Dallas a new first down!

No problem.   Seattle forced a second three-and-out in a row.   But guess what?   ANOTHER interference penalty kept the ball in Dallas’ hands.  They went on to score an insurance TD and win the game.    My point?   Referees will alwyas alwyas favor the marquee teams of the NFL, especially at home.   New England and Pittsburgh and the Cowboys never get a huge call go against them.   It was laughable to see the refs hand that win to Dallas.   FOUR KEY PLAYS in a row that Seattle made, and FOUR PENALTIES called.

Anyway, I like the Eagles, but I don’t think they can beat the Saints.  Dallas might surprise the Rams, who showed some rusty inconsistencies in December.

I think new England will blow out the Chargers, and the Chiefs should get by the Colts.   But like the Rams, the Chiefs are young and more than likely overly hyped for a playoff game.   Would be nice to see ex-Dolphins like Damien Williams and Jordan Lucas advance for the Chiefs.

  1. I think the Bolts are underrated and will give the Pats a game, despite having to play them AND the refs. As an aside, there was a short article in the Herald about Ross being a reason quality coaches don’t want to come here. It bears somewhat to what I’ve been saying all along-it’s a hobby for him.

    1. I like the chargers too and the patsies are fit to be had…although I’m sure some rule that no one has ever seen or heard of will come out and cost them. NE never loses at home too many hurdles to jump for road teams…

  2. Cody Parkey=LOL! He was awful this season.

LOL, Moneybags Parkey! If he didn’t blow that kick in overtime in Miami, then he wouldn’t have been in a position to blow that kick in Chicago yesterday!

He handed us a win in Miami, which cost the Bears a bye week. Then he blew the game yesterday and cost the Bears their season!

Thank you, Jason Sanders, for proving me wrong and giving us a solid season when I originally thought we shoulda kept Parkey!

        1. I wanted parkey back too but Saunders made me feel better every game he was outstanding and cheap. Bears can choke on his salary now…kind of serves them both right.

  3. I grew up in philly so I’ve always been a fan of Andy Reid I would like to see him win a super bowl

  4. Ya there was a lot of bogus calls on Seattle …..if New England goes to the superbowl im going to puke …for me I predict a KC N.O. superbowl with N.O. winning ….but it will all depend on the refs who the NFL wants to be in the superbowl .

    1. I usually cheer for teams that haven’t won in a long time if my team is out. However Philly would be a great story again although unlikely. KC would go bonkers, Diego would lose their minds after allowing their team to leave. Say no to Dallas…just cuz!

  5. Anybody but New England is what I always say! I think the Chargers will give them a good game, but they don’t lose at home. Chiefs need to win to secure that home championship game against the pats. Saints at home are going to be tough to beat. Anybody but the Pats and I’ll be happy!

  6. I got the Colts and the Saints with the Saints winning the SB 27-20. Just think the Colts are on fire and the Saints have home field which make this close to a lock.
