Welcome back.
The San Diego Chargers come to town Saturday for a game that should give the Dolphins a good test.
First of all, the Chargers are very beatable. They seem to play down to their opponent a lot. They get hot every December, but in October and November, they are still average. Luckily, we caught them early his season.
Philip Rivers should be respected, but not overly feared. He is extremely predictable. He will not run with the the ball. He will look for Antonio Gates far too often, and defenses can then key on Gates. Of course, just keying on him doesn’t mean you can stop him. Especially the Dolphins, who are one of the worst teams in NFL history at covering a tight end. Just ask Phillip Wheeler.
Anyway, the Dolphins main opponent this week is the Dolphins. Can Joe Philbin stay out of his players’ way? Can our offensive line come together and protect Tannehill? Can they harass Rivers all day and force him to make mistakes? Will Lazor call more running plays for Tanny?
Or will they treat this like the Bills game and lose to an inferior opponent? Or like the Packers game, where we lot to an even/slightly better opponent?
Dolphins Truth predicts the Dolphins on top 30-16. Our offense is due, and the defense remains strong.
Your thoughts…?

Your comments are perfect. With a home field advantage and a win streak vs the Chargers when at home that pre dates Marino, this game is very winnable indeed. Most of the experts are picking us thankfully because of how we match up against the Chargers and less because of our at home dominance of them stretching back to 82 . (The year they last won in Miami).
I really hope our Defense plays with the same passion it did last time vs Green Bay. Basing that hope on my assumption they were fired up playing at home vs a quality opponent. The rumblings amongst our offense are troubling however. This could spill over and distract our defense’s mind set if they buy into the disappointment expressed publicly by Tannehill and Wallace.
Philbins loss is saddening, my sympathies go out to him.For the sake of decency. I will be suspending any criticism of his performance from myself out of respect. The team could be fired up in support but I wont expect a victory because of it. Loss of a family member expresses itself in different ways and we are lucky to have Phibin’s dedication and presence on the field when he could justifiably request more time for bereavement. The definition of dedication period!
I will be in attendance for this game tomorrow and am more than excited to be at my very first NFL game. Something that I should have experienced long ago living in Florida all my life. My tickets are pretty good seats and ended up on the Phins side even though I will be traveling with a Chargers Fan and sitting next to his unlucky, soon to see his favorite team loose in person, should be a Dolphins fan , about to get whooped badly ….. ass 🙂
Ill try to post up here as much as I can from my phone. Maybe take a video and some pics and post up links. And though it will hopefully be an excellent time. Im still upset my brand new pair of Miami Dolphins Zubaz pants will not be worn that day. Still waiting for them to ship 🙁 . I will be sporting my Wake jersey though. Phins Up!
I think we’re in a solid position to win this game but you can underestimate Philip Rivers. He may be predictable in that he won’t run but his pocket awareness and quick release make him one of the best QB’s in the game.
He is very Marino like in how he plays the game and in the fact that he can win games his team otherwise has no business winning.
My prediction, Dolphins win 30-23.
What up phins fans . PhinsUp live from miami gardens fl
Half time. Thoughts on our performance.
