More and more indications show that Brian Daboll will be going to the Giants, and the persistent rumor is that the Dolphins will hire Vance Joseph. Probably the worst scenario I can think of is the Bills and the 49ers in the Super Bowl. I would be forced to root for San Francisco, which would virtually give the Dolphins no first round draft pick in the upcoming draft in April. The more I watched these playoff games, the more I realized how close the Dolphins are (were) to being a playoff team.  It also makes me reflect on just how devastating that 7-game losing streak was. Arguments and disagreements happen in every walk of life, and the NFL is no different.   Successful teams handle it internally and move on.  A strong leader/owner will force them to resolve it. For Stephen Ross and the Miami Dolphins, however, they continue to act first and ask questions later (or never). I encourage everyone to watch Stephen Ross’s full press release announcing the firing of Brian Flores.  It’s only about 7 minutes. After watching this a few times, it becomes increasingly obvious that Brian Flores was not fired for his coaching flaws or football knowledge.   This is clearly about attitude and personality. Typically, one extra win could drop us 4 or 5 spots in April’s draft this year, but we do not own that pick.  So unless we really hate the Eagles, there’s no reason to win except for pride. As much as this pains me, I think the Dolphins should retain both Defensive Coordinator Josh Boyer and at least one of the two Offensive Coordinators. Duke Johnson averaged 7 yards per carry and got benched. Myles Gaskin averaged 4.6 yards per carry, and he got benched. On a day when the running game was outstanding, Brian Flores decided to stop running the  ball.  Instead, the Dolphins decided to keep riding a struggling and ineffective Tua.
