Last season, the Minnesota Vikings were in the NFC Championship, right on the precipice of making it to the Super Bowl QB Case Keenum had led them on a Cinderella season, including a miraculous last-second win in the playoffs the week before.
They came up a bit short. Keenum’s reward? How did the Vikings show their gratitude for their best showing in decades? They got rid of Keenum. It was a Dolphin-like move to say the least.
To make matters worse, they brought in Kirk Cousins from Washington, a QB with zero accomplishments, so-so statistics, and a lot of baggage. In another words, they replaced a winner with a question mark.
So when the Viking game was announced on our schedule this year, I did not fret. They aren’t too good. They do not have a winning record. The NFC North isn’t as powerful as the pundits thought. All this is to say that we can beat the Vikings.
That being said, being able to beat a team isn’t the same as actually beating them. We still have injuries. We still have Adam Gase calling long bombs on third and inches. We still have a road game. Plus, we have a chance in December. Seems like every Week 15, the Dolphins begin their slide. Let’s hope it becomes like 2016, when we actually won a tough road game in December in Buffalo to clinch a playoff spot.
I hope not, but the Dolphins are in position to be dumped out of the playoff race today, but let’s hope the real Kirk Cousins shows up.

Xavien Howard is officially out. Has there ever been a Dolphin who was questionable during the week and then ended up toughing it out to play?
The culture needs to change. With the playoffs on the line, get out there and play!!
You get out there and play hurt chump. The NFL is a business first.
Today is make or break for our playoff chances.
If they are to lose any game this is the only one as it’s out of the conference but odds are they need all of the last three… let’s hope for a win and the others to lose. Do we want to patsies to beat Pitt today? Man I can’t cheer for those bastards…
Anyone that defends Tanny needs to read this article https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-why-the-box-score-doesnt-tell-the-full-ryan-tannehill-story
No one loves Tanny but there are worse problems on this team namely the oline. He’s serviceable but they should definitely be looking for someone better…I would expect to draft a QB next year…
Since we lost and are pretty much out of the playoffs, I predict tomorrow that Mr. Ross will reward both Gase and Tanny with a 5 year contract extension.
