I’ve never been a fan of vastly over-rated Mike Pouncey.  But I am a fan of continuity on the offensive line.   With Pouncey and Jermon Bushrod both gone, we have nothing in the interior of the line. Unconfirmed reports are declaring that Patriots WR Danny Amendola is coming to the Dolphins.   That accompanies news that we will also obtain Chiefs WR Albert Wilson.   Word out of Miami is that Kong Suh will be the latest casualty in Stephen Ross’s disgusting purge of all the Dolphins’ best players. It appears that Jarvis Landry is on his way to Cleveland for a couple of mid-round draft picks.  That’s not the important part of this. As of now, the Dolphin owner will not force players to stand for the National Anthem.   However, the NY Daily News quoted him as saying that his players will stand throughout 2018.  Ross then issued another statement saying that his first statement was misconstrued. On the deciding play in the Super Bowl, defensive end Brandon Graham lined up between the center and the guard, beat the guard, and won the game for his team. A defensive END lined up on the inside.  One of the Eagles’ best outside rushers fooled the Patriots by lining up inside.  Fooled them to perfection. One of the many things that the NFL does wrong with the Super Bowl is taking away from the championship game itself.    For example, halftime is 12 minutes long.   It is not just a guess, but set in stone in the the league’s official rules.  Except when the NFL is trying to turn a game into a spectacle, then suddenly the 12 minutes becomes over an hour long, so millennial fans can fawn over Justin Timberlake. There was a play in the Pro Bowl where Alex Smith hit Jarvis Landry on a long bomb.   Wasn’t the play of the game, and it wasn’t overly dramatic in the annals of NFL history.   But yet it showed me something. It looks like Matt Patricia will become Detroit’s head coach next year.  So even though he will finally be out of the AFC East, we still have to face him.
