The schedule release is not even official, and yet the Dolphins are already getting screwed. Twice.
We’ll keep checking in during the day, but what we know for now is that the Dolphins have to open the season at New England, AGAIN. The Patriots always get to open at home, and how this is never pointed out by anyone but me is remarkable! The Patriots sign Kyle Van Noy and Davon Godchaux. They will be a lot better than last year.
Second, the Dolphins quick ride up to Jacksonville is now set to take place in London. Yep, once again, Stephen Ross allows his team to be tossed around like a ragdoll. Do this do that, Play here play there. Roger Goodell knows a doormat when he sees one. Our one-hour plane ride up to JAX is now a trans-oceanic international game, complete with extremely strict international covid rules.
Why does Goodell keep foisting these games on us?

Yep thought the exact same thing getting screwed every year and patsies get every break. The Fins will be young and flawed to start the year complete disadvantage again. A win would be huge but we know that the odds will be stacked against them hopefully they are more prepared than last season and have a few surprises of their own. I’m sure that the patsies will get their usual Thursday home games and Fins on the road. ..
Getting back to the draft I don’t think we should be shooting down the team because they drafted some picks BPA. This was the first time in a long time that they could really do this. I think they did a decent job of filling in holes in FA. I would have liked a LB but perhaps they felt they were fine there this season and DB’s are more important in today’s game. I guess we’ll find out. TE I think they want a more rounded guy with Gesicki. Smythe looks like he may be the odd guy out as he’s making decent money. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him gone this year or next.
Dolphins at Bills on Oct 31.
Better than December. We know week 18 is Giants at MIA. Week 17 won’t be at BUF nor at NEP. Could be at NYJ in a cold weather game, but it’s only the Jets and very beatable.
Getting our away games vs. Bills and Pats in Sept and Oct is a bit of a blessing.
MONDAY NIGHT !
Week 16 is Dolphins at Saints. Without Drew Brees, the Saints are a very very average team, at best.
Just ask Bill Belichick how he did when his QB left.
JETS:
Week 11: vs. Miami Dolphins
Week 15: at Miami Dolphins
So we are home for Week 15. Then Saints in 16.
Wk 18 Giants
wk 8 @ bills
wk 1 @NEP
Wk 6 in London @ JAX
So far our December is all home games plus an Indoor away game. So far.
Now the league may “mix in” the 17th game. originally, the Giants at Dolphins was set for Week 18. Now it seems that the Giants@Dolphins game might be earlier in the season.
The NFL continues to just swat us around, without Ross ever putting his foot down.
Admin where the heck are you getting this info or is it wishful thinking as it doesn’t seem too bad except for game 1…haha!
I thought that the last game had to be within the division so wouldn’t that be NE@MIA wk 18?
Each year, there are a few leaks posted here and there. I then look for sites that gather all the rumors: like here…

Yes you are right in most years. However, when they added the 17th game, they originally added that game as the new week 18. Only today with the schedule release did they change that back to the old/original formula, where you play a division rival in the final game.
In theory, they are aiming to have 2 teams fighting for the division crown, but it rarely rarely comes down to that.
Last year we faced the Bills in the final game, and the division was not on the line. Pitt played the Browns, and that division also was not on the line. It would be more dramatic to have us play the Browns…winner gets in. The Bills and Steelers already locked up their divisions by then.
And to spout my sour grapes one last time, in the final week, the Bills and Steelers had already won their divisions with nothing to play for…The Steelers rested all their starters and lost on purpose. The Bills played all their starters and won easily.
Different coaches, different philosophies. Dolphins got the short end of the stick.

Overall not bad looks like a bye week 7 before Bills game. First two weeks will be telling. I’m assuming they’ll be on the road again for Thursday night game and patsies at home.
Makes sense, because we go to Europe for Week 6, and then get Week 7 off.
Pats play ON THE ROAD for once on Thursday, if you can believe that for once! NEP @ the Saints.
I’m literally shocked if this is the case shocked…
By the way, 90% of these are unconfirmed rumors. The Buffalo Bills’ sites have them playing 4 different opponents in week 10. Obviously, three of those rumors will be wrong!
We won’t have a bye week after the UK game! That’s kinda ridiculous!
Agreed. There is ALWAYS precedent for getting a bye week after Europe.
On the positive side, we have a Sunday home game and then our Thursday game is home as well. Zero travel involved. THAT is huge and something I’ve been begging for during the past decade!
The first 5 games are tough but winnable. I think the team will be more prepared to start this year than last. Actually have 9 home games plus London is neutral although weird to not have a bye after. Thursday night home game for once and will be at home the previous Sunday is big. No cold games down the stretch. Lot’s of good things this year.
