It’s no secret that offensive line is our most troublesome–or at least questionable–positions.  And now the bad news is that Austin Jackson tested positive for Covid.

The news is bad, and can only get worse.  The NFL’s Covid rules are murky, but if you were in contact with a player who tests positive, then you yourself might be deemed ineligible to play.  That means some/all of Jackson’s linemates could have to sit out Week One, and that would be devastating.  Let’s see how this plays out before we panic, but you know Bill Belichick will be monitoring this closely…

Also, for the 500th time…Isiah Ford is back!!

  1. Aren’t the rules different for players that are vaccinated? Do we know if the others are vaccinated?

Yes, it has to do with how often they are tested. Vaccinated players who test positive cannot play until they get 2 separate negative tests 2 days in a row. By all accounts, that’s where Austin Jackson falls into. However, there are HIPPA privacy laws, so players don’t have to discolse their medical information if they choose to keep it quiet. That’s why we hear reports from some disgruntled NFL players. No one on the Dolphins that I know of, but Cole Beasley of the BIlls is very very anti-vax.
