A bye week.   That gives us 2 weeks instead of 1 to listen to Adam Gase’s excuses.

Adam Gase began the game Sunday by calling for a deep, straight-dropback pass that was doomed from the start, forcing Brick Osweiler to throw the ball away, and he barely had time to do even that.

But then a funny thing happened.  Frank Gore carried the ball for 39 yards.   He took it again for 4 more yards.  After a quick pass, Kenyan Drake ran the ball for 6 yards.   Then Gore again for 5.  Due to the rushing game, we were at the Green Bay 14.   54 yards on the first drive alone, and everything looked promising.

With Gore and Drake gashing the horrendous Packer run defense, there was no need to pass it on first down, right?

We all know the end of this story.  That piece of shit Adam Gase, as if blind to what Drake and Gore had been doing, called a pass play.

Now here’s where the inept QB doubled-down on his inept coach.   Osweiler missed the snap.  Worse, he batted it backwards.  Then he broke the wrong way.  He tried to pick it up with a lazy stab at it and missed.   At this point, still, no Packer was on top of him.  He had time.  But he panicked.  Just like his mentor Ryan Tannehill, he fell down.   Then he dove for the ball instead of calmly corraling it.  Next thing you know, the Packers had 7 and then 14 points.

Let the Benny Hill music commence. This is after the ball already hit him in the hands and he knocked it backwards. Note: no one is close to him yet. They only got close he he bungled it 3 more times.

Because Adam Gase stopped running the ball.  He stopped calling rushing plays when we were at the height of our rushing ability.    I would not be saying this ame stuff game after game if our running game sucked.   But when it’s effective–when it’s elite and unstoppable, at least on this drive–stick with it.

Adam Gase tampered with success and us fans suffered.    Make no mistake, Gase is not suffering tonight like us fans.   Gase is enjoying his millions and millions of dollars.

There was another play when Osweiler barely overthrew Devante Parker, who has yet to break or evade a tackle in his career.  I analyzed this play a lot, and it was Parker’s fault.   He hesitated, then he put  up his arms way to soon.   He ran the last several steps with his arms straight up, a ridiculous technique.  I fault that one on Parker.

But Brock’s interception to some unknown bum playing his second game?  That was all Brock.  A pig of a pass on a day when he was throwing behind receivers all day long.   Horrible performance by one of Gase’s handpicked saviors.   Man, Brocktober’s win vs. the Bears seems like five seasons ago, doesn’t it.

Ball isn’t even near him yet, and he’s got his basket arms up already. Put your damn arms down and sprint to where the ball will be, you useless oaf

Anyway, the excuses are ready for Gase.   It’s not his fault.  The line was hurt, and Jakeem Grant got injured.  He’s smarter than everyone. Bobby McCain got injured.  Reshad Jones got benched/puished and wasn’t out there.    All excuses.  None of that mattered though.

The makeshift offensive line of 4th-stringers did an outstanding job for Gore and Drake, but Gase refused to see it.  He refuses to be successful on the ground because it’s beneath his genius status.

It’s better to call the same old straight-dropback passes time after time after time.

By the way, if you’re going to Punish Jones, then punish Jones financially. Hit him where it hurts. DON’T give him what he wants. (bench time)

When I stole candy, my mom made me go the whole summer with no sweets.   But what if she had bought me a Snickers Bar instead?  Insane, right?

The Adam Gase school of discipline: “Oh, so you want to sit on the bench and not play? Okay, well I’m going to punish you by making you sit on the bench and not play.”

There is nothing whatsoever that Gase does right.

Incidentally, remember that dreadful pass play while the running game was on fire?    Right before Brock fumbled away the snap, Rich Gannon had JUST said, Gase needs to rely on this running game,  because our O line was creating holes and it was working.”

Yet ANOTHER real player who sees Gase’s flaws.  How many games has Adam Gase played in again?

  1. You know when the patriots are playing the tv crew always pans to Robert kraft and his gang of advisers / admirers with him? Notice that doesn’t happen very often when the Dolphins play? Because Ross is nowhere to be found! If we had a real owner the tv crew wouldn’t need to “Pan” to him because he would be on the sideline, next to Gase with his hands around his throat

  2. This game was over when the packers went offside on Miami’s second field goal, would of been 4th and goal from a yard and a half out but Gase decided the field goal was better. That’s just horrible coaching, field goals won’t beat Aaron Rodgers, and Gase has no idea how to call plays in the red zone.

    1. You right but, honestly, what are the odds that Gase calls a play worthy of the end zone? The article is spot one, Gase has no idea what to call in a given situation and has no idea how to strategize to set up such plays. I read a tweet during the game where the author defends Gase saying that he is our best coach in 20 years and that the Dolphins are struggling due to injuries. I think injuries are largely due to the fact that Gase continually places his players in disadvantageous positions, such as calling for long passing plays with under center snaps with a line that can’t pass protect.

Here’s the situation though. The injuries are real and they are devastating and they are crippling…BUT. If Adam Gase had a full arsenal of healthy players, he’d still make the wrong calls. I don’t say RUN RUN RUN all the time. I only say that during games when the run is working. Hell, on that first series, our run was impossible. Gase called a pass and disaster struck. Injuries did not force that play call

  3. Admin…. Yes the injury’s are real BUT slow down before we give Gase a pass!

Armando at the Herald had a great point today, (After this season is over, the Dolphins have to take a serious look at their medical, sports science and every other department having to do with player health because there’s bad luck and then there’s what this team has encountered in 2018 with no less than six starters either on injured reserve or having missed a significant number of games.)

I would also add that we need to look at how practices are run and how conditioning is planned.

Doesn’t Gase have finial say on everything?

Yes he does so the slew of injuries are probably his fault as well. I’m going to dig into who is hired to handle these things and my guess is they are all Gase buddies just like all of our idiot coaches

  4. The season was lost when that bum Gase called a pass play on 3rd and 1 from Cincy’s 48 I believe. The fins were up by two touchdowns and the running game was on point. You all no the rest. Gase is not who I thought he was. The man is a bum. Impose your will on the opponent. That is what the run game does, and with that everything else opens up. Simple football 101.
