Brian Flores (once again) proved why he is utterly unqualified to be an NFL head coach.
With about 50 seconds left in the half and the Jags facing a third and long with the clock running, Flores had a chance to keep the time pressure on Jacksonville. He could make Trevor Lawrence keep one eye on the clock and hurry into a bad decision.
Instead, however, Flores called a time out.
In Flo’s mind, you stop the Jags on third down, and then they punt. Even if that works out (it didn’t), they’d be punting from midfield and pin us deep. We can’t score when we start deep, especially with 40 seconds left. The greedy idiot Flores was not content letting the clock expire.
The Jags stopped themselves on third down, and Flores was happy. Now they were going to punt, right? No. Flores was too stupid to realize that Jax was in 4-down territory. And of course, you know the rest. They picked up the first down, and then one play, later Noah Inactive got burned for a long TD.
Flores’s insane decision to call a timeout and give Trevor Lawrence time to think about their upcoming plays cost the Dolphins dearly.
It is almost unfair to see Flores outcoached and outsmarted every single week. Nearly all his decisions backfire on him. I hope Stephen Ross sees how wrong Flores always is. And I hope Ross takes action.

I just give up on this team. Where do you even start? If you can’t beat Jacksonville then where do you go from here? Supposedly the “rebuild was over” but all I see is every team we go up against we’re outcoached and outplayed consistently. We’re not even close.
Exactly. This was supposed to be “the season” that the glory would return to Miami. Nope. Time for another “rebuild.”

Tua Threw the worst interception I’ve ever seen in 30 years of watching the NFL
The only positives I can say, and I’ll have a separate column about this once I calm down, is that Tua looked better Except for the one horrible interception. We lost two games in overtime this year, and in both games Jason Sanders missed routine field goals or else the dolphins could easily be three and two at this point. That is a lot of candy coating on an otherwise horrible season but I’m just trying to find something, anything, good to say
Flores’s Stupidity and his lack of basic football decision making knowledge is contagious. Going for it on fourth down on your own 45 yard line just proves how stupid this man is. But he becomes even stupider by allowing a Russian player right up the middle. I don’t mind running the ball and I say we should run more all the time, but that play had to be some sort of RPO or draw play or a sweep or something With an option. But Flores’s it stupid play call simply doubled down on his stupid decision to go for it in the first place
