In desperate need for RBs (both Ahmed and Gaskin could miss the next game due to Covid testing, and Laird on IR, and Lindsay & Brown still hurt), the Dolphins are bringing in Lamar Miller as a test run.
We have a few practice squadders who probably know the playbook, but it’s still good to get a veteran in, for cheap, who can come in and get 5-10 carries in case the rookies don’t pan out Sunday. I always liked Miller, but the Dolphins’ execs have a terrible history of getting rid of quality RBs. They let Miller walk. They traded Ajayi. They gave up on Gore….all three of these AFTER they produced strong seasons for us. It’s not like they played poorly and deserved to be cut.
For those of you thinking about a playoff spot, our best chance is to win the division by winning out and the Patriots hitting a losing streak, along with another Bills’ loss or two.
For wildcards, our best chance is a gigantic tie among many teams. We lost to the Bills and Colts, so if we end up in a three-way tie with them, then we’re out. But a 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 way tie opens up all kinds of insane possibilities, requiring a computer and a calculus expert to comprehend!

Lindsay now has covid too. Nobody can complain about the short passes this week. Our options are very limited.

When I look at this embarrassing Urban Meyer situation, and how horribly he failed as a professional NFL coach, it makes me sad that one of his two career wins came against our Dolphins. I don’t care if he’s a bully or a Showboat or whatever, for one day he was a far superior coach then Brian Flores, and that is very embarrassing
It’s day four of Jets hate week and this team CANNOT get complacent with the hated Jets! We have players out with COVID and there could be more added to the list. Whoever is healthy, it’s their job to pick up the team for the ones who are out-they will show solidarity. This is where we see how mentally strong they are, how much they want to win it right down to the last possible playoff scenario. Lots can happen and they need to make it happen for the team, the fans, the South Florida community. Beat the Jets!
Whoo-Urban Meyer just crashed and burned to a crisp. What the heck was that guy thinking? Uh, he wasn’t! Their owner said it like it should have been said….can he buy the Dolphins? Sell the Jags, they stink.
