As our regular readers know, Dolphins Truth can be opinionated. Yes, we try to stick to the facts and to the truth, but at times we can’t help ourselves… and we have to take a dig at a particular opponent, the league, other writers, or (more often than we want to) Joe Philbin.

But one thing we always encourage is a great interaction with our readers. We do not censor any opinion you guys want to comment on. Whether you’re a Dolphin fan who comes here to socialize with your fellow fans, or you’re a Bills or Jets fan who came here to troll and annoy us, you’re always welcome. I do not edit or censor comments, and you can say what you want.

Why am I writing this now?

A few days ago, I posted some Dolphin comments on another blog. It was the SB Nation Phinsider. They posted a terrible article, so I let them know it was terrible. I’m not sure how that blog works, but I think anyone can submit articles, and the site owners pick up the articles and put them on their site. I think. It’s normally a decent blog that can be informative to Dolfans, and I generally enjoy it.

But this one this article in question was a long piece about what the Dolphins can do to improve. One of the ideas was to trade Cameron Waker and to rebuild with new draft choices. A terrible idea. The Dolphins are not bad enough where we need to scrap all our good players and rebuild from scratch.

The same article talked about what coaches the Dolphins could hire, and it was the same old un-original list of guys like Cowher and Gruden, along with some other names who have zero-chance of coaching the Dolphins. It was a silly list of names.

In addition, the same article went on to say how valuable Dion Jordan is, and the article mentioned how Dion has not been given a chance. Really? As we point out all the time here at Dolphins truth, Dion Jordan has been on the team for TWO YEARS and he has played in every single game when he was healthy and not suspended for using drugs. He has a tipped/blocked punt to his credit, but otherwise, he has done absolutely nothing.

Despite that, the Phinsider article was lamenting that Dion never got a chance and blamed the coaches for mis-using him. Wrong. He has had chance after chance in game after game, and he simply isn’t good enough to be impactful. I know it LOOKS LIKE Dion isn’t getting the chance because you never hear his name called. But he is out there. He does get chances. He gets plenty of game time. He just makes no plays, so you assume he isn’t playing.

So anyway, I wrote some comment about how terrible these ideas were, and I mentioned that Dion Jordan is repsonsible for Dion Jordan’s lack of production.

I got a notice from the Phinsider site telling me basically that I wasn’t allowed to make negative comments about their articles. Seriously, they gave me a warning.

They also didn’t like the fact that I mentioned DolphinsTruth.com. I can respect that. If their policy is to disallow people from writing the name of their own web sites, than I can live with that. But to have a policy against disagreeing with a writer? I couldn’t believe it.

It all made me a little bit proud to have started Dolphins Truth and to give you guys the chance to say whatever you want. Hate our articles? Let us know. Want to vent about Joe Philbin losing games for us? Go ahead and do it. Even if you want to say “Dolphins suck and Squush the Fish?” I’ll allow it!

If you say things that are wrong and say things that I disagree with, I will comment back and correct you, and I’ll defend my position. But one thing I won’t do is censor you. I will not remove your posts. And I will never write back a whiney warning that says you have to play nice with others or leave my little playground.

  1. The awesomeness of this site stands on its own merit. Let the big time sites do their best to spin every comment into their enforced rules of agreeing with them. That’s terrible for true journalism and is a huge reason why I have and remain a constant visitor here. I appreciate the slant because its thought provoking even if I initially disagree. I want my team to win and want to explore possibilities explaining why they aren’t or could be doing better. I read many articles daily and am open to all points of view. The expressional freedom here is what I truly appreciate. Your not part of some network of journalists forced to temper their dissatisfaction for fear of loosing access. Your free voice can say exactly what it wants aiding fans to express their opinions and foster healthy and mature debate. And now more than ever your sites flavor is perfect for fed up Dolphin fans. If I am disappointed about anything its the amount of visitors hasn’t increased as much as I thought it would have by now. You’ve got a good thing here, something that I feel could rally a collective voice for fans to pressure our team to improve. Gotta seize the day or it will pass you by.

  2. The only thing uncensored I wanna say is… Fuck the Patriots! Fins fan for life.

    1. LOL. That’s a comment that nfl.com certainly wouldn’t allow!
