I was hoping for 95 sweltering degrees and 99% unbearable humidity for the game today, which should give the Dolphins a somewhat advantage over Oakland, who is not accustomed to this weather, but it seems the rain will cool things down.

A sloppy field causes mistakes and slips all around, and that does not bode well.   Two home games, two rainy days.  Mother Nature must be a Parriot fan.

  1. LOL….. admin I don’t know many times it rains for fifteen to twenty min and it’s hotter after the rain than before it! Also maybe we can just let the boys run the ball all day that would probably equal a win!

    1. I agree keep running the ball and good things will happen. They are missing some DT’s…

  2. Couldn’t run the ball today but still found a way to win..impressive. Oakland isn’t very good but they were starving so I’m pretty happy for the comeback.

  3. Just finishing watching the game! Yeah, run game was bad today, but the calls we’re much better and our team has mucho speed!!! Good come back! Now comes a tough strech in the schedule… we’ll see what we’re made of the next few weeks!

  4. This win by the Dolphins over the Raiders was the epitome of the meaning “Bend but don’t Break!”

  5. Akeem Spence is too valuable to our D (esp.the run D) – to be ejected the way he was. That alone could have easily cost us the game. Gase needs to stress that to him (and everybody else). Gase is getting alot of praise for his trick play calling (deservedly so) but I also see many areas that he could improve upon. I agree that most games you want to establish the run, and NOT give up on it – BUT – this was NOT one of them. Too many times they just threw away 1st and 2nd downs trying to run – when (obviously) it was not working at all. The strength of the team is the WR’s and Gase should have made that adjustment WAY sooner. And his stubborn obsession with those damn worthless bubble screens – HAS GOT TO STOP ! (we know it won’t though) More deep downfield passes, plays to the STRENGTH of your team – so use it more !!!!

  6. The Patsies just lost and are 1-2 for the first time in 25 years. Ok I might be exaggerating a little bit, but wow…we are already 2 games ahead of the entire division. The game looked ugly early, but I gotta give some serious props to Tannehill for the nice comeback win. He’s starting to throw some nice bomb passes he would overthrow in previous years.

    1. Still early but the patsies don’t look good they seem to be regressing which is fine by me. Brady looks tired. Sure edelman will help but they have more clusterfucks on that team than I’ve ever seen. Fins need to go out and push them around next week.

I disagree with abandoning the run. It can turn at anytime and keeps the D honest. Tanny is more successful with balance. I agree maybe go over the top a little more even pass a touch more but don’t completely abandon it.

Hopefully injuries are minor and Jones is back. I think they held him out to get him back to 100% for this week. Rough at first but secondary played better in second half

      1. Sorry that was FFF I wasn’t logged in for some reason…

Crying shame. We all feel awful for Brady because the Pats only had 3 healthy WRs

  7. We still have to try and run. We are definitely a spread offense, but I would like to see more runs with Tannehill under center. But winning without Jones and three defensive lineman… impressive!

Yeah, it was a great win. I’m all for going pass-happy when the run game isn’t viable, like today. It seems like a loss when we trailed by 10 points and our defense had nothing in the tank

      1. What’s nice is I think our speed in the passing game will open up the run in the future.

Yes, that speed is crazy good. Not just that, but Gase knowing when to use it. THAT’s the remarkable part. Even DeVante played good today, but he’s more of a lanky WR, lumbering downfield, whereas Grant and Wilson are insanely fast

    1. And Stills don’t forget him he’s no slouch. I think that sometimes the pass sets up the run as it can loosen it up but you can’t stop completely or you end up with Philbin laser again…
