Except for a ridiculous game in Germany (which actually helps the dolphins a little because it takes away home field advantage from the Chiefs), I was pleasantly surprised by the schedule.
We begin with two winnable road games at the Chargers and then the Pats. We lost at the Chargers last December, but that was a game where Tua looked awful.
I honestly don’t mind having TWO road games to start the season, because it gives us 2 more home games later in the year when it matters more.
Our away game at Buffalo and Boston are in September, and @ the Jets is the dat after Thanksgiving. This is great news, as we don’t have to travel to those cities in Dec or Jan like last year.
We even get a three-game homestand in December, and no 3-game road trips. These are all unfair schedule quirks that the NFL foisted on us in the past, but not this year.
Our “Thursday” game is on a Friday, so that’s an extra day of rest, which is important because (once again!) our Thursday/Friday game is on the road.”
As for the opponents themselves, they were known months ago. I’m just please for once that the league didn’t hurt us with unfair scheduling.

I think the teams we play is brutal, but I do like the 3-4 prime time games and am happy we have a couplr of 4:15 games. It seems we always only get the 1:00 start. The most impressive thing is our bye week is exactly in the middle of the schedule where it should be.
I don’t see the NFC East being as strong as last season. The Eagles are a fine team, but I stull get the feeling they played beyond themselves last year. The Giants and Cowboys seem about the same…a couple of decent 9-8 teams like the Dolphin. Baltimore and the Chargers ALWAYS seem to be on our schedule, no matter what place we finish in. The Chiefs and Bills are tough of course.
I really like having our September games at home. It really defines home field advantage. I guess the NFL is on to our ruse. 😃
True, but Buffalo in September can be hot and muggy too. The Bills will have their drunken fan base behind them, but they won’t have the cold weather as well. Our only September home game is Denver, so the weather should help us. Russell Wilson and Sean Payton could make the Broncos more formidable this year. I actually worry more about the Broncos than Dallas or the NY Giants games.
