First, the HIGHS: The defense played well.   Yes, you read that right, and I’m sorry if you disagree.   The defense gave up only ONE touchdown to the Bills and their pathetic offense.  The Bills won the field-possession battles all day long, and our D held them to field goals. A great job, despite the 29 points.   The D simply couldn’t catch its breath with the way our O was playing. The loss of Danell Ellerbe certainly stings, but it’s very good to know that the backup linebackers came through so well.  As we noted last Sunday,  we never thought that Jason Trusnik was a superstar, and maybe he still is not.   But he played his heart out on Sunday, and he certainly won our praise.
