It’s one of those years where I don’t have much of a rooting interest.

Like many people, I’d like to see the Chiefs dynasty stopped in its tracks, but on the other hand, I don’t hate them. I don’t blame the refs for their dynasty, etc.

As I thought about this, I definitely don’t want them to win three in a row. Only two franchises have even PLAYED IN three in a row, but neither of them won all three. Our beloved Dolphins were first, winning 2 of the 3 in a row we played in.

The other team was the Bills, who played in 4 in a row. Of course, they lost all 4, which still makes me laugh at them every single time!

I like the Chiefs for having ended the Bills’ season 4 of the last 5 years (and thanks to the Bengals for the 5th), but I despise the Chiefs for not even trying in Week 18 vs. Denver when we needed them to win. They should have at least PRETENDED to care instead of resting 25 of their starters and fielding a team of practice squad nobodies.

I can’t stand the attention given to the Kelce brothers, and a Chiefs win would only make them MORE visible on our TVs, computers, magazines…they’re EVERYWHERE!

All that being said, the Eagles don’t really inspire anything that make you want to root for them. By all accounts, their coach is an a-hole. There is something satisfying about watching them–just like the Bills–get so far every year only to crumble recently.

So I just don’t know. I will watch and I will hope for an entertaining game. At least the Bills won’t be there!

  1. Happy Superbowl, Gents!

May the doinks be friendly to your pocket book 🏈

I get tired of dynasties, so I am rooting for the the Under-birds.

Flores was an a-hole too, but he was also a better coach than Mommy McDaniel. So I will take a bad cop, tough love A-hole over supportive love, good cop inexperienced nice guy…on any of the week

Sunday morning, as the game got closer and closer, I found myself wanting the Eagles to win more. So I’m happy with the result. Glad to see the Chiefs humbled as you said
